Patricia Grube is Certified to teach Hatha Yoga and Pregnancy Yoga, and is registered teacher with Yoga Alliance. She received her Hatha Yoga Certification training from Leeann Carey at Planet Yoga in Hermosa Beach, California. For Pregnancy Yoga she was certified by Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa at Golden Bridge Yoga in Los Angeles, California. She furthers her education by attending classes, workshops and seminars given by various yoga teachers who have inspired her such as Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Carolyn Cowan, Shiva Rea, Francoise Barbira Freedman, and John Friend.

Patricia also attends annual conferences for the Birthlight Trust with Francoise Barbira Freedman in the UK to further extend her knowledge and awareness of pregnancy and birthing. Attending workshops and talks by birthing anthropologists and pioneers such as Ina May Gaskin, Frederick Leboyer, Sheila Kitzinger, Dr. Gowri Motha, Janet Balaskas, Dr. Michel Odent, Joseph Chilton Pearce, Uma Dinesmore-Tuli, and Blandine Calais-Germain.

Patricia is a current member of the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA) and also a member of DASC (Doulas Association of Southern california. She is in certification programs for Childbirth Educator and Labor Doula.

She has also attained Second Degree Level of Reiki in Usui System of Natural Healing through Reiki Master, Valorie Knutson from Topaz Visions. In addition, Patricia has trained up to the Second Degree of the Seichem Reiki system through Marlene Shreeve in the England, UK.

Patricia has a strong background in dance and cheerleading. She was a college and professional cheerleader. She has also coached junior high, high school, and Pee Wee cheerleading teams through to competitions. She hopes to combine elements of dance with yoga to create a fun-filled class in a safe environment.

In 2004, she was given the spirit name Gurudeep Kaur by Yogi Bhajan and the 3HO organization. The name means Princess who is the light of God.

Patricia is married and has a little boy named Xavier Devdan who also does yoga and chants mantras together.

A native of California, Patricia has just moved back to Los Angeles in August 2007. She had been living and teaching yoga in England, U.K. for the past 2 1/2 years.
